Thanks, fellas. The Cooper S is actually a car I bought for my wife this year, for our anniversary (& Christmas, New Year's, and maybe a birthday, I think I can squeeze those out of it too, HaHa).
But it is a great and exhilarating drive.....& I love performance cars.
My main ride is a modded '96 Camaro, and I'm taking my wife's '03 Civic as a daily driver (some diversity).

I hope it gives us many years of happy drives.

I'll tell ya, depressing that "SPORT" button (while not to be abused) really does transform the car. Quite amazing.

Congrats & Welcome! Here's wishing you many years and lots of fun miles in your new MINI. Be careful...that's how most of our two-MINI families got started...

Having last owned a MCS that had no Sport button... I'm at a loss as to why you'd turn it OFF, frankly.

I like familiarizing myself with how a vehicle drives in all its modes, when its mine/ours.
Certain stretces of road are great to explore the limits of SPORT handling and shifting, but usually much of North Jersey's local roads are garbage. Usually cruising along, or in traffic, LOL.
