brake pad sensor light
#2
Brake pad sensor light come on when the pads get too thin. Most likely you need to check the thickness of the front pads by pulling the wheels and looking in the top of the caliper to see the thickness of the pads.
How many miles on your '09?
If you are not comfortable doing this the it means a trip to the dealer or car repair shop. You should do it soon before things get damaged and cause a more costly repair.

Are you still within the "free" maintenance period? If so, I'm pretty sure pad replacement is covered by that. If something else is going on, e.g. sensor gone bad, I would imagine that would be covered by the warranty. So unless you can determine status on your own, I'd recommend a trip to the dealer.
