Need help with electrical problems

I have a 2010 Mini Cooper S, our second MINI. It was purchased from Mini of Raleigh. It has 2650 miles on it and is back in the shop for the 4th time. The first problem occurred on 8/10. Warning lights come on, rear wiper moved to the center position. Service saw a nick on wiring and taped it. On 8/12, car wouldn't start, once started same warning lights, wiper activated on its own. Mini of Raleigh took the car to WS and had the computer updated. Got the car back on 8/16. On 8/20, same problems again. Car stayed at Mini of Raleigh for a week, they could find nothing. We picked it up on 8/27 and the problem occurred in the service drive. A sensor was ordered and we got the car back on 9/13. On 10/28, a similar problem occurred but with the addition of the transmission downshift by itself at a constant 60 MPH.

Has anyone had similar problems? This is my first post.
