I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!

She has no name yet but she is a 08 MCS pw/pw with 20,500 miles, lowest mile car I have owned

Right now my only mod on my to do list is a Catch Can but no sure what one would be best..

Anyways I've got a question.. When I turn on my car it says "Service" on the tach and shows the date 07/2010, does this mean I need to take it in the service, or is it just telling me that's the last time it was serviced?

I also checked the check control and it showed allot of stuff just not sure what It means...

I am having a blast driving now more then ever, still loving each time I push the start button !!

Do you have any records of when it was last serviced? BMW's recommendations seem to be around 15,000 - 20,000 miles before the first service. (Personally, I think thats too long.)
Any catch can is better than none, and you should consider doing a Seafoam treatment ( search the forums).
Good luck and welcome.

Date shown at start-up is required service but if you're past that date the car on a lift icon should remain illuminated. These cars are quirky little beasts so better safe than sorry - if you're near a dealer pop in and have them plug it in to get required service detail for you. Good Luck & enjoy!

Yep, have dealer check up on that service notice. I judge you have just recently purchased the car?

I havent gotten my MCS yet (ordered it last weekend) so I dont know about the service, I hope you get everything figured out though. But I want one of my first mods (after new Dunlop Star Specs 235/40/17 tires and either Konig or Rota wheels) to be a Catch Can as well. I was looking at a BSH Competition Catch Can kit for my R56 because of the price, but I will have to do further research. Let me know what one you end up getting :D oh and post a pic of your Mini!!

A little late but better then never...

I still haven't gotten a Catch can yet, looking to get a clear bra first as I seem to get 1 chip each time I go for a drive
