Hi, I'm Tim. Yesterday, Thursday, I told my wife I needed to stay home sick from work. Well, I wasn't sick at all, I had scheduled the day off so I could go car shopping for her birthday, which is on Saturday the 11th. So, I came home with a 2011 Mini S in Chili Red that is now hidden in my neighbor's garage accross the street. It is killing me to wait until Saturday to give it to her! I have left clues around for the past couple of months so she thinks I have been jewelry shopping. She has no clue about the Mini.
Anyway, as we get involved in the Mini lifestyle, I hope to gain knowledge from you folks here at NAM and have some fun in the process.
Take care,
Tim
Awesome! I don't know how you're keeping quiet (and leaving it parked). You're a strong-willed man. Can't wait to hear about her reaction...take pics. Congratulations & Welcome to the family!
Congratualations on you and your wife's new MINI!! The MINI will be a great addition to your family, and welcome to ours! If you have any questions, I am a Motoring Advisor for Orlando MINI and I have a Service Advisor right down the hall, don't hesitate to give me a shout! Welcome!
Congrats on the new addition to the family.
Depending on where you leave in California, there might be a Mini club in your area to join. It is a great way to enjoy the Mini even more.
If around San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara counties, stand me a PM for more info.
Thanks so much for all the welcomes / congrats folks!
I finally got a chance to drive the MINI today around the block and it was a blast. But, sadly the "electro-key-fob-thing" was removed from my grip and the rightful owner reassumed possession.
In truth, I was not expecting the serious fun factor that comes with owning a MINI. We can't wait to start adding personal additions, stripes will most likely be high on the agenda. Maybe followed by mirror caps, and who knows what else. The only limits seem to be the depth of my wallet....
Congrats on the new addition to the family.

We are in the Folsom area. I need to update my sig I guess.
There must be a club based out of the Sacramento area but I have not seen one posted on NAM or MA. The closest club that I can find is Central Valley Minis based out of Lodi. However, I cannot find any contact info for them. So I guess I am not much help.
