let me know what else i should look into, what is should do and how often, this is a huge upgrade for me

thanks guys for making me feel welcome on board, its not as flawless, still gotta detail the exterior to make it shine, overall im very happy and proud to be a new mini owner. i have some plans for slight mods just not yet. as far as when you see an inspection light after 50000 miles, what does that include, still kind of new to the maintenance and around how much do they cost, but slowly learning. thanks for any input

Check out SCMM.org for the largest SoCal Mini club. With over 1000 members in the L.A. area, have events about every weekend and can really help with questions, where to get good service without breaking the bank, etc.

....and don't forget to WAVE..

Tomas: Take QXXOTIC advice to heart. When I first got my MINI I didn't know about clubs and really missed out on some fun and community knowledge. Every club has "experts" that usually know the best way to approach maintenance or modification on your car. If nothing else you can learn from their mistakes.

By the looks of your former Golf, you enjoy a custom ride. Here’s a link to aftermarket parts to help you finish out your Christmas list this year:

Happy motoring dude!

thank you for the info, i really did enjoy the custom ride, it was costly tho, so im going to have to save up first, and then spend some money onto the new baby, and yea i was and am still part of a car club, more or less now group of guys who just hang out every thursday, but im def on the same page when it comes to meeting new people to learn from and get wise advice from. and i do have a reputable shop here close to me since the dealer will cost too much thanks again, its nice to feel welcome in the new community

thanks i think i've seen their site and the services and prices they offer, if i do need anything i will go check it out, i also have a mechanic in Burbank, Eurowurx, and the owner has worked for bmw for over 14 years, affordable prices as well.

as far as oil changes, i want to stick to one brand, and i know it doesnt matter which one, but oil changes done with 5-30 synthetic right? and as far as oil filter, should i go with the same brand? thank you for any info.
