Hey there, my name's Abe and I recently purchased a 2010 Mini Cooper S. I use to own a 2008 WRX but after memories of my father's 2002 S kept coming up I decided to take the dive. And I must say I'm glad I did. As for now the car is fairly stock with just a few lighting upgrades, but I have some major plans for this thing. Just need the right information and I figured a forum would be a good start.
Here's a few pics...
Hope you enjoy them and once I'm all settled in I'll have a lot of questions that will need some quality input
Ha I'm always running around Washingtonville. My friend lives there and he's pretty much my personal mechanic and what not. It's great because he works for pizza and beer!
Abee, just curious; what made you make the move away from that (very sweet-looking) WRX? I'll bet those "LOL-VTEC" plates were on it too, right? Nice MINI though! Did you get winter tires w/ it?

I loved my WRX, or any Subaru for that matter. My family has always been a Subaru family. But when I was a teenager my dad owned a 2002 MCS and I always wished I could drive that thing but I was too young. So I decided that I could always get another WRX or STi down the road...But right now I wanted a MINI. And I have not regretted the choice at all.
Actually the first plates I had said "OH WORD" then I moved on to "LOL VTEC" when I registered the WRX in my name last year. The main reason I'm keeping them on the MINI is because I despise the new yellow plates for NY.
And the cooper came with All-Seasons which surprisingly are not all that bad in the snow. Or maybe it's just because after years of driving nothing but Subies I know how to handle myself in slippery situations
