My wife has a 2006 mini cooper s as far as I know it is all stock. I have been fighting a problem with the car for a few weeks. The car just started acting funny when the weather started getting colder here in western Nebraska. The car starts up fine and runs ok for a minute or so and then it will start misfiring the SEL will come on and the DSC light will come on. This does not happen all the time usually just on initial start up in the morning. The codes show a p0302 code most every time after reset. I have done some research on the site and done a few things that were recommended. I have replaced the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. I have removed the fuel rail and moved the injectors 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4 and 4 to 1. I have replaced the fuel filter, that was a pain in the you know what. Checked the compression and it seemed ok equal across the board, I do not have a maintenance manual so I do not know what the compression should be. This has not helped as I still am getting the codes and the car is still running rough and the DSC light still comes as well as the SEL The car seems to run ok after it gets to normal operating temperature, or if you shut the engine off and restart it the car seems to run fine. Fuel mileage really has not changed. I would like any input as to what I should do next.
