New Central TX Mini Owner

Greetings all.

Just popping in to introduce myself. Picked up my first Mini last week. The Countryman is what first got me interested in Mini's, but I ended up walking out of the dealership with a 2011 Chili Red Clubman S (manual, premium, carbon black interior with piano black)... and I love it!

I have had two BMW's in the past (a Z3 which I miss, and a 330). Wanted something with the Z3 feel, but able to put a car seat in it, and the Clubman S fits the bill perfectly!

Attached are two quick iPhone pictures of it in our messy garage Lots of great stuff on this board. The "Show Me Your Stripes" thread has me wanting some stripes on my little monster.

Red & black is an outstanding combo on the Clubbie if you ask me. And a manual? All the better.

Welcome aboard, and Happy Motoring!

Thanks folks. The manual was a must for me.

Tinting is a good idea.

I agree 100%. I got mine even though she was not a manual. I love her just the same, but sometimes I wish I had manual again. . .

As for stripes and tinting, I think they are BOTH a must on that Chili Red of yours. I got mine in May of last year, with no tint, and 2 weeks of South Florida sun was all I could take before I brought her in for tinting. It is possible to get tint and stripes done at the same time, if you find a good place, and if you can swing the $$. The place where I took my MINI did the tint and clear bra at the same time, and they also handle graphics. You would just order the stripes and bring them to the installer. (or try doing it yourself, if you are so inclined).

Good luck!
