New to me, but in Afghanistan
Hello Everyone
Well, my lovely wife bought a 2008 Cooper S for me yesterday , but I won't be home for 3 more months . Now I really can't wait to get home and start driving it. Looking forward to learning all I can about the Mini's and meeting everyone on here. See you on the road in April.

I am retired from the Marines, but I am still working with them as a civilian contractor and when not in Afghanistan, I am working with them in North Carolina. I have three guys on my team out of Kaneohe Bay.

Its really hard knowing that you have a new to you mini sitting at home and not able to drive it. My wife was nice enough to get one for me in sept. but i have not gotten a chance to get home to drive it. Still stuck in good old Iraq myself. Maybe someday the kids will stop throwing sand at each other in this giant sand box. Not holding my breath that its anytime soon. Good luck in afgan.
