Chirp in 2nd is your tires.

If you take off a little quick the tires chirp in 2nd. If you don't like it drive slower. Most people like it. Chirp in first the chirp in 2nd.

Then there are people who spend lots of money to add power so it will chirp in 3rd.

Get stickier tires, they wear out quicker though.

on 2nd thought

Whats this.

Don't rev. Get stickier tires. I think the point is being missed. If you are booting it the tires chirp and everybody around you knows you have a high performance car. If this is not desirable there are alternatives such as buying a Hyundai.

It is not a problem. It is a feature.

OKAY, y'all...Pardon me. I think I may have used the wrong word (chirp).
I meant when I pull the shifter down to 2nd gear, you can hear gears shifting. ONLY going on 2nd gear! that's why its weird hearing it.
But anyways if I'm wrong, CHIRP AWAY..?! YEAH?!

Thanks y'all!

Could be the throw out bearing in the clutch.

The throw out bearing would make noise shifting into every gear, if that's what it was.

Maybe the second gear synchro? How's the oil in your gearbox?
