People raining on my parade: One-liners needed!!!!

Have you heard of any one-liners for responding to those who ask “Aren’t you worried about being in a crash and getting crushed?”
And how about those people who think that I am too “old” to drive a red sportscar?! (That's me, a grandmother of 6, in the driver's seat!)

LMAO that someone would say that about a Countryman - that thing is a HUGE MINI!

"Aren't you worried your SUV is going to roll over when you take a sharp turn?"

"Aren't you worried you'll never find a big enough parking place?"

Mo,

Dont worry about what others might say. Just drive it like you stole it. And you'll be smiling the whole way.

too old ?

Hi. I am a father of four, grandfather of five and great grandfather of two. I do not let comments of others bother me about being too old to drive my Chili Red "Works" MINI,I am having a great time enjoying the fun of my ride. Smile at the detractors you confront, for they know not of what they critise.Enjoy your MINI and the rest be damned.

"Thanks for your concern, but if I worried about it as much as you do, I would not leave my house!"

Then leave them in the dust

Love the guys who make those comment who drive older style F150s and Expeditions. I tell them to check out the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's of set 40 mph crash video of their "big safe truck". They fold up like an aluminum can. Based on the info retreaved from the crash test dummy, it would have ether died of suffered major critcal injurys. Same test in the Mini shows the occupent would have walked away with ether minimal or no injurys.

There was an page on MotoringFile that had pictures of the "Front End Crash Results of a Ford F150 and a MINI, depicting the F150's crumple zone seriously breached while MINIs crumple zone was nearly intact from the 50mph impact. Well, I photocopied about 50 copies and kept the in the previous MINI I had and then later added the fuel mileage of Justacooper (even though I had a MCS) in the back of page. Don't do that anymore cause people rarely ask anymore.

+1 I tell them it has 6 airbags and then usually wiggle their eyebrows and stop talking.

I was a MINI fanatic longgg before I owned one, and anyone who knew me knew that I wanted one of these cars more than any other material thing on the face of this planet. My stepmom would always tell me "You wouldn't catch me in one of those things, if I'm gonna get mawled by an 18-wheeler, I wanna be in my truck (jeep grand cherokee)", to which I responded with the fact that the MINI has 6 standard airbags, 4 MORE than her beloved jeep, so the MINI is basically a cotton ball on wheels compared to her gass guzzling planet polluter.

Tell them that the structural rigidity of your Mini is 27,000nm per inch to their cars 12,000.

Airbags have nothing to do with the structural integrity of the passenger compartment. If one of these crumply SUVs had 12 airbags, they wouldnt help in a crash when the footwell caved in, breaking their legs like lobster claws in a nut cracker.

That makes me think of the Braveheart line:
