Just thought I'd say hi. I'm still probably 6-9 months from purchasing, but I've started to shop and this looked like a great place to do some research. I've already picked up some useful info just lurking for a few days.

As I noted in my sig, I'm going for a convertible Cooper, perhaps '09 or '10 used, perhaps new. Also considering base and S. Either way, it'll definitely be a manual.

My Miata, with over 220k miles (175k of them, mine), is finally telling me it's nearly time to move on. With 2 small children, I haven't been able to find a way to justify buying another 2-seater. And while I'll miss the rear-wheel drive, the Mini is the closest thing to the Miata that has 4 seats (I know, they barely count as seats, but the other car -subaru- covers most of the kid-transport duty anyway).

So here's me, saying, "hi!"

Good like trying to wait months.. Those months are going to feel like years. But welcome.. P.s I'll give you less than a month till you place your order or pick up your new mini
