My Clubby is now at the port awaiting transport. I sure hope there is enough room on the Madame Butterly, otherise it is going to be an agonizingly slow 2 weeks.
Ok, confused about what week I am? My MINI is waiting for transport, so it was built some time in the past week. (So quick I didnt even get to 'watch' it).
Mine is on the Aida, scheduled to be in NYC/NJ on the 21st.
Ack! You've got confirmation yours is on AIDA now? Through which method? OL says "Awaiting Transport". ASK-MINI automated system says it's "at the port." No VIN on the WW track system. I haven't tried a human yet...
That boat better not sail without my MINI on board!!
My babys VIN keeps coming up: No Records Found! what's up with that????!!! I am very disappointed. Although the Owners Lounge says it on the way......
Check with a human at ASK MINI, but be aware that not all of the humans there are equally well-informed.
Is it possible that your baby was shipped via another stork? There are at least 2 other shipping companies that transport MINIs, and they don't have a nice, automated reporting system like Walenius-Wilhelmsen's.
Looks like mine couldn't wait to get here and jumped on to a K-Line ship??? MA called and said I was on the California Highway. I thought only WW ships serviced the Brunswick port. Not complaining... this means mine should be here next week... WOOT!!!
If your baby is on Aida or Madame Butterfly, you should be able to track its movement across the Atlantic. Both boats have been transmitting periodic weather reports.
I just checked and my car is on the Madame Butterfly!!! Now 3 long weeks and it will reach CA on Cinco de Mayo. I think I will have an extra margarita for it!
Sent my MA an email yesterday asking if he had any shipping details. He called me back and it went something like this:
MA: Hey, your MINI is aboard a ship
Me: Cool. Any idea which one?
MA: Yeah, I have it here somewhere. Just a sec...It's K-something.
Me: K-Line? So it's on the California Highway
MA: Um...yeah. It left the just the other day.
Me: Should have left on the 9th, then.
MA: No. It was Saturday. That was the...um...yeah...9th. You're right. They usually take about two weeks to cross.
Me: The California Highway is scheduled to be in Brusnwick, GA on the 20th. That's where your port is, right?
MA: Yeah, that's the one. The 20th...that's fast. Cool. I should be able to get you more details once it's in port. Um...why don't you send me another email when you see it has arrived.
Me: Thanks for the information.
