MINI in Boston

Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. I don't own a MINI yet but I'll be looking to get one in the next few months once I pay off my Jetta. Everyone seems to love their MINI on these boards, so I'd like for some of you to convince me NOT to get one.

Uh OK... Don't get one!

Ten reasons not to buy a Mini

1. it's a girly car
2. it's unreliable
3. it's too small
4. it rides rough
5. there are cheaper economy sedans out there
6. people expect you to wave
7. it leads to mods, which leads to bankruptcy
8. side effects include motorsports, which leads to bankruptcy
9. you have to make too many decisions to personalize it
10. you wind up on Forums like this one!

THERE!

How'd i do?

Cheers,

Charlie

Ha! Thanks. Ya, I was trying to hear some of the cons from owners. Of course everyone here is a MINI enthusiast, but I wanted to hear why someone might not want to get one. So far, everything Ive read and heard has been great though.

ha! and I might add:
11. if you end up in forums like this one, you will quickly see the rest of your life passing you by as you idle away countless hours on here, reading all about MINIs!
12. you will become addicted/obsessed with all things MINI/Mini
13. people will constantly and openly question why you bought such a tiny car!

14. you need to be a contortionist to use the back seat (Cooper hardtop only, can't speak for the others.
15. you're new "economy" car isnt' cause you can't resist romping on it any time a curve presents itself.

:D

One reason to buy is the great events put on by the Mass Motoring Club (www.massmotoringclub.com). This Saturday we are having a Frozen Wiener Roast. Hope you can make it!
