Hi there, I'm planning to put an order in for a jcw in a couple of weeks. I was going to get the order in before the 31st, but I was told the free package upgrade is only for those delivered before then. They did lock me in to the .9%, though. Since I'm ordering it looks like I have to pay full MSRP??? Or do I have some bargaining potential? Thanks!

[quote=Jjvanwingen;3249565]Exactly! And don't buy all the "these cars are selling like hot cakes so we don't have to make a deal" BS either. If they want to make a sale, then they better be ready to deal.

[quote=Jjvanwingen;3249565]Definitely call around and see who gives you the best prices. I called 3 dealerships before I finalized on which one to go with. And I also used carsdirect.com too. Their price was pretty good as well. The final place I got it from dropped their prices by $1k from their original offer. And their original offer was below the MSRP price. The dealerships makes a lot of money. Also make sure you get it written in the contract that on the day of delivery, you can go also get the incentives as well. So this will get you to a lower price. Get it in writing.

If you go to cars.com you can build the mini you want and find out what the invoice price is. It's usually way below MSRP. There are a lot of dealerships around me, and I was able to negotiate and use their offers against each other. Eventually got the price down to $650 over invoice, a friend of mine negotiated down to $500 over invoice. It's helpful to know the invoice price before you negotiate, so you know what the car is costing them. I ordered the car too, you definitely can negotiate below MSRP even if you're ordering it new! May even be easier to negotiate because the dealers know any other mini dealer can get you the exact same car. Good luck!

If you go to the MINIUSA website and then look at financial services (lower left corner) you will see the offer for delivery before May 2 is still .9% money and one free option (Premium, Sport or Auto Transmission). I don't know where you heard there is no free option in April.

Hi,
Anybody opting for the 3rd incentive program? Get 6 year/100k miles Maintenance Program Upgrade for free AND choice of 1 free option.
But does anybody know what this line means:
MPU is ONLY available with standard rate retail finance contract with MINI Financial Servies
Does this means I need to finance the car?? I'm confused....

- Haggle your salesperson and see if they'll do both
- If you were going to pay cash for your car, just leave like $1k left to finance, then pay it off.

I see. I guess I need to do the math to see what makes sense.
Does anybody know where I can get the fine print for the financing stuff? I like to read it and understand before going to the dealership. Couldn't find it on Mini's site.
Thanks.
