Sorry just read this now, that's great! I'm sure you're proud, I myself will be in Charleston for NNPS sometime in 2012.

Welcome! That laser blue is a nice color too. I actually really dig the spice orange, but the only one on the dealer lot with options I liked had a white roof, so I went with pepper white / black instead.

I've got an Xterra for the winter and "weekend adventures" as well.

hah, what do you guys think of connected? It's looking like I could probably get something close to what I want from the dealer lot but only exactly what I want if I order it.

I dont actually have mine yet (next week?),but i played with the connected system in a countryman they had on the lot. Pretty sweet system, and looks really nice in the dash. Could take a little getting used to, but that will come with time.

I used to be on that one a lot when I had my 2004 Xterra, but with the new one its usually TheNewX.org. I haven't even been to that one in months though, my Xterra is stock with some meaty tires is all, and most of those guys are into more hardcore 'wheeling so I don't bother. I just like to get out into the wild and see stuff you can't easily reach in a car is all.

The only one of those colors I wouldn't buy personally is the all black one. The dealer here had one identical to mine in black with the matching roof color, and black leatherette. It was really nice, but I've had 4-5 black cars in my life and each time I swore I'd never buy another one. Most of those I bought because it was all they had, so I definitely wasn't going to buy one on purpose. Its just too hard to keep clean, and they show every little imperfection too well.

I've never had a white car before, so I went with the pepper white / black. There are some pictures of mine in the link in my signature if you want to see a "stock" looking PW S. They aren't great pics for now, but better than nothing... I liked how I could play off the black roof with the stripes and add some black wheels, etc.

Yeaa, my truck is black but I don't really try to keep that clean, the one I pictured is actually White Silver and I'm definitely leaning towards that, I really like the Laser Blue but I'm just not sure if it's too bright.

The Laser Blue is nice. For me personally, its a touch too light/bright. I wouldn't NOT buy it if its what I had to choose from, but I wouldn't order it.

I would do the darker Horizon Blue with the black roof if I wanted blue. That would look really cool IMO. I saw a couple on the lot in that color and it has a nice metallic fleck to it in the sun. They had one with a color-matched roof that was dead-on the same as mine, but unfortunately it was a pre-ordered car and sold already.

Any thoughts why Horizon Blue isn't offered with the JCW aero kit?

Yeah thats really weird man. You can't get it on the Spice Orange or Hot Chocolate either (2 other great colors IMO).

Have you considered the British Racing Green II? It looks great in person. They had one with white stripes and a white roof that was really "classic" looking, I loved it. Unfortunately it was a manual, and I wanted the auto this time around. If I had been willing to buy a manual, it'd be sitting in the garage right now.
