Newbie anxiously waiting for her MINI
Hi everybody,
I'm new to this forum. I just put a deposit on a 2011 PW MCc (I'm trying to get the abbreviations right ???) When I ordered it I was told that the dealership didn't have any allocations left except for a "week 16" build so it looks like I'll have a looooong wait
. I probably won't even get a production number for a few weeks. I'm not sure how it all works and since I ordered it through email I didn't get a chance to talk to the MA about the process.
It looks like this is a great place to spend time and meet people in the same state of anticipation.

Welcome!
Make sure to find the 'how to track your MINI' thread.
You'll be getting a production number which you can use to sign up in the Owner's Lounge (https://ol.miniusa.com/). That is where you will be able to track your MINI's progress through the factory. (Keep in mind it's a little 'off' sometimes with it's dates.) Once it says it is ready for shipment then you can start doing your own research (from the thread i mentioned) to figure out what boat your car is on and you can track the boat across the ocean.
My car was delivered to Pittsburgh ~20 days after it completed production.
I see you're in Philly, there is a very active MINI club over there.

Thanks amberback!
I saw the Phillymini club while I was researching Mini's on the internet. It looks interesting from what I could see but you need to have a Mini Vin number to be able to view the forums on the site. As soon as I get my Vin number I'm going to join to see what's going on.
