Coming back to the MINI fold

Hi all,

I'm a previous MINI owner (04 Cooper BRG/stripes that I drove all around Vancouver, BC 2004-2008) who is returning to the fold with an 11 Ice Blue Clubman (built this past week and currently awaiting a ship in Southampton!! )
I sold that Cooper (woe!) in 08 and moved to the UK (Cambridge, England), but have now come back State-side (Portland, Oregon) and am enduring the curious s...l...o...w..i...n...g of time that seems to occur when one orders a MINI.
This is new to me.
I drove my last one off the lot from East Bay MINI in Northern California, so I didn't get to experience the OCD where one's life revolves around calls to 866-ASK-MINI.
Dear Lord.
Any advice in terms of making this next month or so go faster?

Cheers,
MattInPortland

Mine's sitting in the same spot, and I have no idea how to make it faster...but at least mine doesn't have to go through the Panama Canal.
