Possible Cooper S owner in the making . . .
Hi Everyone,
I'm seriously considering the purchase/lease of a 2011 Mini Cooper S. Not too many options really, Eclipse paint and bluetooth only. I had thought about the Sport package and 17" wheels but the 16's look pretty nice and are lighter. What hooked me was the test drive. I had never driven a Mini before and was absolutely impressed. My other car is a BMW E30 M3 so I'm used to driving quick handling, four cylinder cars, and the Mini was just so sharp. No real body roll and instant turn-in were the first things I noticed.
Are there any experiences leasing a Mini or advice anyone can offer? There seems to be a good lease deal for Coopers ($199 x 36 months) and ok deals on Cooper S's ($299 x 36 months) but the dealer in town is telling me they will only lease at the full sticker price, i.e. MSRP. This goes against every cell in my body, but it would be nice to hear what kind of deals others have gotten.
Thanks for reading and maybe I will be posting some pics of a Cooper S up here in the near future . . .

I cant offer any experiences for or against leasing a Mini Cooper S but I can offer experience in owning and driving one...
Lots of fun, so much fun to drive. It is my wifes daily driver so I dont drive it way too often but when I do it is a treat in comparison to my 88 535is. So smooth and crisp and very responsive in the corners.
I will not however go into how religiously opposed I am to leasing, that is in no way helpful to this thread lol
Happy motoring sir!
