Finally own a MINI!

Greetings all,

First post here. Have wanted a MCS since before they first came out. The opportunity came around to purchase the project MINI through a friend at 0-60 magazine. http://www.0-60mag.com/category/garage/mini-cooper-s/
So i sold my Subaru as quickly as possible and am now the proud owner of a 2003 MINI Cooper S with about 83000 miles on her. Love the suspension, wheel and tire set up they did. Wheels rub in the back though. Anyone have a solution for this? Fender shaving etc.

Anyway, great to finally be part of the MINI Community!

Why thank you very much, I'm crazy excited!
Check the article for full list of goodies. Also has sparco R505 seats, gotta take care of airbag light, looks like last owner tried and failed.

Welcome to NAM!
Great car!
If rear wheels are hitting body work, check the amount of wheel spacers used.
If they are 16mm or bigger you could drop them to 12mm and that would probally solve the rubbing.

Car only has wheel spacers in the front... which i need to get longer bolts for.

Does this have the wheel stud conversion kit on it?
There are a number of wheel hub, spacer companies that offer longer studs or bolts.
WMW has longer stud kits available.
A Dremel tool is very handy to take off a little body work for clearance.
You should have witness marks where it is rubbing.

Thanks everyone, great to finally be here!

Think I will take the fenders to a body shop. If I Dremel-ed them myself i feel like it would look like torn paper!
