New '11 Mini missing parts, extra parts

Just picked up new black '11 Mini S Hardtop on May 31st. Cold weather, Premium, anthracite, red rooster color line and leatherette.

There is no lumbar control for the seats, I can feel the holes in the leatherette where the ***** should be but that's it. Also I have the DSC off **** that functions correctly, however, I thought my car wasn't supposed to have this it was only on the sport package.

Any ideas, should I complain? How many owners use the lumbar adjustment?

Thanks for listening.

The lumbar support is not availible with Leatherette seats, only Leather. I don't think the MINIUSA web site even lists Lumbar support for any seat. Do a search here on NAM. Someone did up DIY instructions to add the factory lumbar to your seats. I did mine, cost around $100 per seat.

DSC should come standard. It's DTC that is an added feature, I believe.

really? I always thought it came on sport seats but I'll admit, both my MINI have been leather (and S) which meant sport seats. In order to get several options a Justa the owner had to order sport seats....

Funny that he says there're holes where the **** would be . . .

Do I use it? Well, I adjust it until feels comfortable when the car is new and then pretty much ignore it.

A time or two, when driving too long and falling asleep I've adjusted it to a really uncomfortable position in hopes of keeping me awake. It didn't work.

I tried digging around MINIUSA to see if I could figure it out, with no success. They don't mention lumbar adjustment that I could find in a 37.67598 second search

I had sport seats in leatherette and lumbar was not standard I'm pretty sure you have to get leather to get them.

FWIW - Lumbar comes with the Leather/Cloth combo seats as well.

Cheers.

Thanks for the info. I am glad that neither the standard seats (base) and sport seats do not have lumbar supports. My back can't take it . Now I have to make a decision on a CM as to base seats or sport seats. I love how they feel but my wife thinks that they are too hard for her. What to do??
