New pw R53 owner

Though I have been looking through the forums, I decided to finally create an account. So hello everyone and fellow enthusiasts.

I have a quick question. I purchased my 06 with damage to the front windshield. The previous owner apparently had changed the windshield wiper for one that was too long. There is a damage streak from where the wiper hit the top of the windshield and broke. So there is a streak that follows the wiper track to the top. It does not appear deep. Would glass polish help to make this less noticeable?

Thanks in advance for advice.

It's possible that glass polish would take it out.
I believe that there are several grits available.
Would suggest you check with a automotive glass shop for best method of repair.
Your auto insurance should cover replacement if vision or safety is involved.
Welcome to NAM!

Welcome

There are a lot of products on the market that can deal with minor etching. The topic has been kicking around here lately, so I am sure a search can yield some answers for you.
