My Clubman S is on the same boat! I tracked it going through the Panama canal and now it is off the coast of Baja, just south of Ensenada. I am addicted to the boat tracking

I can't wait until it makes landfall! I just hope it doesn't take long to get through VDC and shipped up to Portland, OR.

Just talked to my MA, he still had no info. I told him to call the VDC and find out what's going on and to call me back. I'm giving him one hour to call me back with something. If I don't get a call or some new news I think it's going to be time to say goodbye to polite Eddie.

Well he never called back. I tried to call him and couldn't get a hold of him. So I talked to another MA (the lady I talked to before on Friday) and she said it was still listed as in final processing. I had her transfer me to someone else above her (a supervisor). The supervisor said she is trying to get more information, that her contact at the VDC has been on vacation, but she believes she will get in contact with him later today. She told me she would have my MA call me back and I told her no, that I want her to call me back later today with some new information and she promised me she would do so.
So it's starting to seem like my car has been on a truck for a week, but that truck hasn't left the VDC....WTF.

Wow, that's a lot of miles in a very short amount of time. I've had mine for 3 days now and I have 320 miles on mine. And that's with a 200 mile trip home from Kansas City. I took it out yesterday to just drive it aimlessly around, LOL. I'm finding excuses to just drive her. But she'll be parked for the next few days because I'll be on the road for work

Well here is my latest update.
The supervisor got in contact with someone at the VDC and they said they will contact the shipping company.
I tweeted about my dealership not being able to get me info and the official MINI twitter account contacted me and asked me to send an email to MINI customer support so that they can help me with my problem.
Hopefully I get some news (hopefully good) today.

Just got a call back from the supervisor I've been talking to now. She said that she was told it hasn't left because they were waiting on another boat. I guess they felt there wasn't enough MINI's on the truck to justify the trip? She told me the truck is supposed to leave tomorrow, and that they are going to give me a $250 credit for the extra wait.
I'm trying to hold my excitement down just in case. But I hope it's true and I'll have my MINI in the next few days!

I already told my wife that the first weekend we have the MINI we are going to take a small trip. We were going to try and drive to the coast and watch the shuttle launch, but obviously we didn't get the MINI in time. I'll have to think of something new.
*fingers crossed I'll be motoring this weekend*

Man, that's a rough wait, Eddie. It would have been so much better if they'd told you what was going on days ago. Your MA seems like a real loser. At least the supervisor seems to be on the ball. I would have lost it with them long ago had I been in your shoes. I suppose the credit helps, but still....
We drove up to NYC for the weekend, and went through a torrential downpour on the NJ Turnpike. I was close to pulling over to the side a couple of times to wait it out, but I wanted to see how easily (or not) the MINI hydroplanes. I'm happy to say that it seems not to hydroplane easily at all (this is with the stock run-flats). Otherwise, a great trip and I'm loving driving it. A little over 500 miles now.
bao,
Looking GOOOOD!!!! (even if it is red )

Driving in NYC (outside of Manhattan) really isn't that bad. Although it did point out to me that the MINI's suspension is a bit stiffer than I'd like for driving on rough streets on a regular basis. But it's great for parking in tight spots, as we all know!
Driving in Boston is far scarier to me than NYC.
