When you bought your Mini..

Did you go through the fleet manager? I've been planning my new Mini purchase and finally made the call to get Seattle Mini's fleet sales and I was told there was no fleet manager. Anyone ever heard of this?

I'm new to posting but I've been reading quite a bit on the forums, though I've not seen anyone mention fleet sales at all. Experiences?

Why would you go through a fleet manager?

Why? Because he thinks if he speaks with a Fleet Mgr, he will get the Fleet Price if there is one and save money. And I doubt if many Mini Stores have a Fleet Dept as they dont do the volume like a Toyota, Honda or Chevrolet store. At a store with a Fleet Dept, that is for other sales, not the single retail customer. A retail customer would most likely be referred to the regular sales department. Fleet Mgr probably wouldnt have the time. But I doubt if a Mini Store would have a Fleet Dept anyway.
Anyway, thats probably why he is asking.

Seattle mini doesn't budge off msrp, sans any MINI USA promotions.

Welcome to the world of MINI.
As Finner stated I don't know of any Mini store having fleet managers. Companies dont buy fleets of Mini's or BMW's. The sales manager is usually the one that ordered the cars.

Mini has a few good offers right now:
.9% money
One option free ($1500))
more free money if it's a manual, I think $500

Also check Portland and Tacoma.
End of model year deals.
Good luck

Portland doesn't move off of MSRP either outside of MINI promotions.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I was recommended by a family friend to try and work through a fleet manager. Buying new is *new* to me, and especially from a company like MINI who doesn't seem to do much dealing at all!
