Just got back from MINI of San Diego.
2012 JCW Hatchback is on order. Just traded up from a JUSTA. =]
Chili Red JCW, black roof, black sport stripes, tech package +nav, alarm, red dash, grey color line, leatherette seats.
Now I just need 8 weeks to go by at the speed of light.
Just curious, how brutal was the wait for all of you?

Over on MINI2 forum they have a listing of Order status codes.
Here are a few of them (BMW and MINI use the same system AFAIK)
111 Order Accepted at AG
112 Order scheduled for Production (I was at this status for 3 weeks)
150 Production Started
151 Body Shop Started
152 Paint Shop Started
153 Assembly Started
155 Production Completed
Some of the ask mini agents will give you your status code. Your MA can also provide it to you. The process above from 150 to 155 is quick (8 to 9 days) so you may only see or hear about one before its already at the dock waiting for a ride over the pond.

No way! Thanks for the information! This might sound dumb too, but how do you get in contact with the ask MINI agents? I was never given that number. Lol.

i was on the talisman (getting dropped of at baltimore) and the OL said my estimated delivery date was 3/28 as of saturday. i checked again sunday and it said 3/25 (that day!??!). but as of yesterday my MA said that he still hadn't seen my car. although at MINI of STL your car has to go through the BMW service department for a final quality check because they dont have a service department at the MINI dealership. I was hoping for a pick up date of tomorrow, but it doesnt look like that is happening (im also getting window tint done at the dealer). however, a lot of other people aboard the talisman are scheduling pick ups between tomorrow and saturday. so barring any major additions to your car that are done at the VDC or your car getting bullied and beat up on the ship it should be on its way!
