I am very pleased to say, I was loaded on the Independence 2 and the ship has sailed. ( yeah ) Ok now to just fast forward to April 10

 

The Ship mine is on (Bishu Highway) just moored in the port at Baltimore this evening. I didn't see it pop back up on the tracker for marinetraffic.com until this morning at about 725 EDT or when it was about 20-30 miles off the Virginia Beach coast.

I picked mine up last night. Wow, what a car! This thing is awesome!

I know, pictures... later today. After some chatting with my MA and the finance lady, my MA spent over an hour going over how to work the NAV, radio, voice commands, etc. So I almost know how to work the thing.

 

I will post a pic or two in this thread when i get them off the camera. i'm taking a break right now from blacking out the chrome and putting my bonnet stripes on. Trust me there will be so many pics that you will think " will that guy quite posting pics already"

ps my countryman was on the Talisman that docked on the 22nd or 23rd of March in baltimore

 

my MA called today and said he talked to the truck driver who was supposed to be dropping my "A.C. Slater" off today. tint tomorrow or monday (since i work and am on call all weekend). Pick up at approx 1700. CAN. NOT. WAIT!

Congratulations! I hope I'm close behind you! BTW~ how early could you track your ship outside of Baltimore? I'm due on 4/1 but still zero on radar?

 

i could track it about 24 hrs before it was supposed to land for about 4-6 hrs, and then it went away and came back for at about 10-12 hrs to port. i think.

 

Here's a pic of my new clubman that the dealer sent me. Pickup is tomorrow morning. Not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Thanks for the info froto13 - an hour or so after a posted that the TOSCANA finally appeared on screen. Yay. Hopefully it won't take long to get through the VDC!!!

 

So jealous of all of you who got there mini this week!! I called my salesman and the mini is still waiting to be assigned a truck! I'm so bummed it's been in Baltimore for a week and a day already. I thought for sure it would been on its way already.

 

How far are you from the VDC?

 

Well if the VDC is in Baltimore it's about 7hrs from Cleveland

 

My ship docks in the next 24 - 36 hours in Baltimore so maybe it's waiting for more mini's going the same direction? Maybe that's why? I only live 45 minutes from the dock - so I hope I won't have to wait as long.

 

I am getting rear bonnet stripes put on an he told me that they were doing that at the port. I thought my dealer was doing that. So that's was his only answer for why it hasn't been assigned a truck yet. But maybe it is waiting for more minis to load. Well damn that ship better hurry up if that is the case!

So glad you posted this - the same thing happened to me. I could track it today - but it disappeared late night. At least I know I'm in the home stretch on the boat!

My Coupe is now En Route but I haven't been able to find it on a ship yet. Entering my VIN doesn't get me any results. Time to call my MA and bug him again.

Hopefully only 2-3 more weeks until Veruca (tentative name) is here.
