Looks like the North American ports' ETA for the Elektra have been pushed back a day. I checked the voyage (CA134-ELX) and its due in NY on 9/8 now instead of 9/7. Irene must have churned up the Atlantic enough to delay our boat.
New NA ETAs:
Halifax.....9/6
NY..........9/8
Brunswick...9/12
Charleston...9/13

My suggestion to new Mini owners waiting for their Mini. Don't even bother logging in to the Owners Lounge and instead just call the Hotline. Once your Mini is at the port, track it with the WW Cargo site, etc.

ENTER CALL SIGN: 2CQX6 and search. It's just passing the English channel now.
Hope the tropical storm Katia that's up ahead, isn't going to delay things.

Congrats! The longest part for me was waiting from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production" - about 4 weeks. Once mine started getting built it went right according to schedule. Now it is "En Route". Unfortunately I don't know what ship as the WW doesn't recognize my VIN.

Well, I can tell you all that I never imagined that I would find the impact of weather on trans-Atlantic shipping of such vital interest! But here I am. lol Life is SO interesting. ; ) Thank goodness we have this forum; reading all your comments, questions, and experiences really helps. I see many happy driving hours in our futures!

Plus I'm in NJ so short boat ride and short ride from port to dealer.

The time that seemed longest for me was waiting for production to start. It took mine 4 weeks to get started. Once it started moving the time went by very fast. And now I'm on the high seas!

Does anyone who is also going to the West Coast have any updates on the Toscana's position? The last update I have appears to be from yesterday, when it was clearing the English Channel.

Hi swpars, I went back to this site to track it. Just zoom out a couple of times to see what's near. Seems like last update also happened on the 31st. Hopefully we have updated info tomorrow.

Ordered 7/18/2011 at 5 pm. Therefore I don't count that day since it was at the end of business. Production complete 8/23/2011. I am not sure when it started but I got the scheduled completion date from my MA two weeks before completion. Then my ASKMINI status stayed on "At Port Waiting for a Vessel" until the moring of August 31 when it changed to "In Transit". My OL changed to "En Route" on September 1. Now the WW tracking line doesn't recognize my VIN so I assume:
1) they don't have the right VIN or I don't have the right VIN
2) I am on the K Line
That being said, I e-mailed my MA today to find out what ship I am on. Per the schedules the only K vessel showing was the California Highway that left 8/26! The only WW vessel would be the Elektra. None of the other timelines fit. Of course there could be some unlisted ship too. Once I hear from my MA I will let you know the amount of time from completion at the factory to on the ship.
The sad part is I remember all these dates in my head. My husband is worried about my sanity at this point. Thank goodness for this site so I can talk to my fellow insane soon to be Mini owners.
