Whoo Hoo! Finally saw confirmation that she is booked on the Taipan. Hopefully your Countryman can show her the ropes. Now let's hope Wicked is able to join the party - or at least another ship soon after.

 

I love my new MINI! I picked it up yesterday and took the fun ride home, skipped the interstate. My husband was ready to put my new wheels on last night This afternoon, I'm taking my car for tinting. I promise to post pictures later. Have to work a half-day before tinting :(

Yep - just found out that my new Justa is on the Taipan as well! Should be in Cali on the 12th, so I'm guessing that I'll have my ride sometime the week of the 16th!!

I can't wait, after a long two week wait for MINI to repaint my car (long story, pg. 141), and get the paperwork ready... I GET TO PICK HER UP TODAY AT LUNCHTIME!

Taipan is a pretty fast vessel. If you compare it to other vessels scheduled to leave for Port of Hueneme. It takes it 19 days for the voyage from Southampton while most of the others take around 22 days.

 

I'm glad you were able to work that out. I can image the disappointment to show up and see the wrong color roof :(

 

It was a huge disappointment after waiting what seemed an eternity for it to get here.
At least the dealer made it right by repainting it. (good thing he did, or I would have just declined delivery)

Just a couple of days behind us

 

While excited, I was also a little sad as I headed to the dealership yesterday. I felt as if I were dropping off my loyal pet at the pound, just to pick up a playful new puppy...

But as soon as I left the dealership and rounded a few curves of Grants Mill Road, I knew I had found my new best friend.

And here she is today. My husband put my new wheels and tires on last night, and she had her windows tinted today. She's beginning to look a little devious Next step is dechroming.
