Ok so on WW the ships to NY are :
TOMBARRA - 9/5
TORONTO - 9/13
TOPEKA - 9/19
Does PORT depend upon what region you are in, like I am closest to NYC..., but could mine end up going to Baltimore and then trucked up to NH? because it appears all Kline go to Baltimore?

Anything anyone wished they'd ordered as they wait for their car? Wished I ordered HK audio, debating choice to leave out MINI Connected (just couldn't justify the cost), and wishing I'd perhaps done something cooler with interior - besides black checkered trim, picked black for everything.

We didn't go for a lot of expensive options, the Connected/NAV is hard to justify for the cost (well, a lot of options are, especially when you think of their impact on resale price). We did pay extra for the anthracite headliner (my wife's call) and the sunroof and automatic (I'm 40 years old, rarely drove stick and not sure that lengthy delays on the George Washington Bridge were the best place for that).
It actually is ironic that we didn't get NAV/Connected, because I work in IT and my wife is a tech journalist. Although that may explain why we think it's crazy to pay that much for what you get (I do like the look of the standard speedo better anyway.)
As far as 'soft' options, we're tough we don't need heated seats. Automatic climate/wipers, etc. We're Manhattanites looking at a weekend car, so that stuff just isn't worth it. That's a large reason why we custom ordered, it was cheaper than even the used 2011s at the dealers because they were all loaded with options.

We added Bluetooth a few days after ordering. It hadn't gone into production yet. Things that went into the decision were knowing there would be a voice button on the steering wheel regardless and wanting to be able to advance songs on an iPhone.

Interestingly, the Countryman All4's on the dealer lot were poorly equipped and lacked a lot of features, like the premium package, I would expect people to want.

I'm a tech junkie but couldn't justify paying $750 over the cost of Bluetooth for MINI connected - seemed like a ton of money for basically a tablet installed in the speedo in a place where I, too, prefer the traditional analog look. Nevertheless, it would have been nice to have access to some more car info as well as an iTunes-esque display.

The main reason I would want MINI Connected would be for a touch-screen interface to my iPhone music. But it's not actually touchscreen!

One thing I found funny was how cheap some o the options are - like the adaptive headlights for $100. Thought it was crazy that more MINIs aren't equipped with them. So glad I ordered them and some other features. Will be curious to see the checkered trim as all they had was a sample to show me - none of the cars on the lot had it.
