As a follow up to my last post:
Ordered MCS Aug 19
Production Started: Aug 30
Expected Completion Date: Sept 7th
Awaiting Transport Sept 8th
Loaded 9/13/11 on Platinum Ray
Voyage #CD136-PAY
Arrival at Port Hueneme CA on 10/5/11
Now at VDC as of 10/5
My dealer is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I don't know how long it will take to get here. After it arrives, the dealer has to order and install the accessories.

Sandylp, my car was also on the Platinum Ray. See my thread "Platinum Ray is on the way" for some hints of my wait. And, because I'm a big geek, an animated GIF of the ship going through the Panama Canal.
I'm in the Bay Area too, and my dealer called to tell me that my car is in! I have an appointment tomorrow after work to pick it up.

@saharadan, @slifkinj, I spoke with someone at ask mini today and told me that my car was dropped in the port so I went ahead and used my VIN in the WW website and apparently the car is booked on the vessel FLORIDA HIGHWAY which should be departing 10/9. If your cars are going to the baltimore port they are most likely in that ship as well.

Seafood, I guess Obrycki's Crab House, it is good, but I am originally from Florida, so I find most Seafood places are just OKAY here.
If you like Italian food, hit up little Italy. There are about 20 great places to eat. I love Sabatino’s

My Coupe arrived in Baltimore on the 29th of September (Thursday). arrived in Omaha, NE the 2nd of October (Monday) dealer had it ready for pick up Tuesday night. So they don't stay there long!

Well, still waiting for mine in CA. Estimated delivery date to dealership was today (9th) as per the Mini USA site, but I haven't heard from the MA. Will call him tomorrow if no response.

Your car looks great! I heard from the MA tonight and he said tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. Not sure if I pick it up before the accessories are installed and then go back or wait to pick it up after the accessories are installed. I would rather pick it up and then go back. Mine is the same color with black roof, stripes and wheels, but it's a MCS.
