I am envious of all you East Coast people. My car has been sailing since the 13th, and is finally in range of the Panama Canal. Not due to dock in California until Nov 9. I am looking at another three to four weeks before delivery, sigh. I am just glad that this forum exists for all of us somewhat obsessive people.

 

Picking up my mini cooper at 3 today!!

 

I'm not sure I understand what my dealer is telling me....They say they can not order a JCW until Nov as the production line is setting up for the Aero package as sandard. Does anyone know anything about this?

For those of you with cars on the INTEGRITY, I talked to my MA this evening and my clubby has been released to the trucking company. So, it seems like we flew through VDC in 24 hours! The MA expects that the trucking company will transport my clubby from Baltimore to Des Moines, IA by Thursday.

 

Yes that does seem to be the case from what have been told as well. I got my production number early this week and is scheduled to start production this coming week. I ordered the JCW hatch back in early September.

Me too. Am assuming that their info is not up to date. Waiting on an update from my MA, should hear from him in the morning.

 

My MINI that was supposed to start production this week (week 44) has been moved back a month and will now be produced the first week of December. I ordered him late September and he's a 2012 JCW Cabrio with all the fixin's. Very sad indeed to have this delay.

My 2012 MINI cooper s countryman is set to arrive at Brunswick, ga port on Nov 4th and will be at dealership on the 8th of nov. So excited its almost here. If your still waiting on your MINI BE STRONG! Its on its way.

 

I heard from my MA today that the car should arrive in Indy late tonight or tomorrow. He thinks we are on track for a Wednesday delivery!

 

What ship are you on? My mini is on the California Highway and the MA said it would be at Brunswick on the 3rd. I still haven't been able to track the ship which should be in Baltimore now but doesn't show.

 

Lucky you!! No update from my MA regarding an ETA and feel like I'm getting runaround about my $750 Motor-tober certificate. Event was 10/22 and he claims that no one has received their certificates yet.

 

Very odd. Our event was on 10/22 also and I had my certificate about 48 hours later. Also, the sales manager said he would honor the certificate even though I ordered my car in September. Apparently there was an issue where MINI USA didn't want to honor the $750 for pre-orders. Maybe you should call 866-ASK-MINI and inquire?

 

Good idea about calling 866-ASK-MINI. I was wondering how I could follow-up. My MA, did not respond to that part of my question - seems like he's been coached to give a non-response. I haven't talked to the sales manager either, so I will try that too.

 

...Or not such a good idea to call 866-ASK-MINI. They were no help at all.

I got mine from the MINI Owner's Lounge, after you click "track your mini", there's a link to view order detail.

 

Yep. This is exactly where I got mine too. It showed up as soon as my vehicle entered production. I would think that if you call 866-ASK-MINI that should be able to give you your VIN also (or your MA).

 

Bummer. There seems to be a lot of inconsistency on this topic. It's tough to say what the true story is. There's a thread on it here on NAM that goes into more detail about people's experiences with the Motor-Tober promotion.
