Thank you R56JCW, I did start it up....I couldn't resist. I hope to get it out late Monday or early Tuesday for the drive to the detail shop.
FYI: It sounded very fine indeed.

(I started another thread over on the JCW thread but I copied this overhear as well)

So I meet the transport driver and the shop were she was dropped off around noon today. I have to give some big accolades to Jerry @ EuroTechs in Tempe,AZ. He has had to deal with my me for the last several weeks and allowed me to stock pile my parts that arrived before MAKO. Also, he opened up his shop for me on Sunday so the car could be delivered directly to his shop. Thank you Jerry.

So here she is fresh of the transport...its funny, the protective film was obviously removed and then put back on I removed it since I could see that their was moisture underneath it. Oh well, it was a good excuse for me to see the brilliant contrasting color of the Eclipse Grey and Chili Red.

Here she is showing off her red head ...my daughter couldn't wait to get in the back seat with her mom. I think she was almost as existed as I was. (My wife kept telling me to slow down on the way to the shop)

As i was saying

Interior shot...I was a tad concerned about the red interior being a bit much but it actually looks really really good (imo), and i am glad i did the optional carbon black colorline. The strictly black and red interior really looks good, especially with the red stitching on the steering wheel and seats Im very happy with the way it turned out.

Was trying to see what the matte graphite OZ was going to look like...my wife thinks I may have to stick with a black wheel. She said it makes it look a little meaner...Oh boy thats all I need is a little bird in my ear. I think the OZ's will look good in the end...we will see

I think my daughter thinks she got an upgrade from her pink Mini ...

Sorry for the so so pics...didn't want to take up a lot of time on a sunday setting up pics.

Congrats Phx JCW, looks awesome. I'll cast my vote for the OZ's, had them on my Audi and loved them and the weight savings is worth it's weight in gold IMO. Lightweight cars respond better to the "adding lightness" options as Mr. Lotus would say (may have to steal that for my sig :D)

And speaking of sig, I still need to get some pics up.

Thanks Purie....We finally got our cars !!! it feels good to have it finally.
I will definitely stick with the OZ's, but a slight chance to go to the dark side.
We will see, I will live with the graphite for awhile.

It looks like we're in the same boat so to speak (no doubt that's been said a million times on NAM)! I just checked and at this moment the Oberon is about halfway between it's last port of Zeebrugge, Belgium and Southampton, England. Things are really starting to move along now.

Phx JCW - Man, you've really got me wondering if I made the right move choosing Adaptive Xenons over the Xenons with Black Headlamp Housing... MAKO is gorgeous.

@Phx JCW - Absolutely gorgeous! I love the Eclipse grey with the red. Very sharp! Have fun and let the mods begin! Had my windows tinted today.

Thank you. It was a fairly easy decision for me since I really don't drive that much at night. The good thing is you can also paint them.

Cred, who posts here, had some 3M smoke tint put on the headlamps of his Eclipse grey/chili red Coupe and it did the trick. Looks great. I'm definitely going to be doing that.

Congrats Phx JCW! Your car looks fantastic! I love the black head lights so much, but I also opted for the adaptive feature of the regular xenon.

Jack is getting closer to NJ! His yacht should dock on Thursday.

OL still shows at Distribution Center, but according to my MA, car will be delivered TODAY! Big red bow already at the dealership, just waiting for the call to make some excuse to get my wife over there for her surprise!

I felt like I missed the boat when I choose adaptive over black headlight housings. Smoking the headlights along with my clear bra did the trick. Now I have the best of both worlds.

Cred--that looks great! Is it a special film? Does it degrade your headlight strength at all?

Cred that second picture is incredible! That film looks every bit as good as the black housings in my opinion. 3M?

Is the film on the outside of the headlamp or did you pull apart the lamps and put the film inside? Sorry if this is a dumb question, it's just hard to tell from the pic.

It's on the outside (unless there's some new fangled way of doing things) and is applied much like the clear bra wrap. Kind of like putting a screen protector on your iPhone/iPad, etc.

How fun!

I just picked mine up at 5:00 this evening. Looking forward to my commute tomorrow. I am sure people behind me were cursing me out as I was driving home fiddling with the gagets and trying to remember to shift.

I don't notice any degradation of the light strength. I hope to put it next to another coupe to check it against one without the film to make sure.

Yes it is 3M. Thanks for the compliment!

No bubbles or blemishes at all. You can't tell there is a film on when standing in front.
I am extremely happy with my choice.

Thanks for the reply, Cred.

I'm having my windows tinted this weekend. Will ask him if he can do the headlights too. Did you give any special instructions?

My MA is out of town until Monday. I tried to get another MA check on my car and all I got was it was still at the VDC.

Which seems odd since several of the other cars are already delivered.

I hope someone here knows more.

Dont worry the wait would be worth it.... Dont forget to put up pictures of Comet
