I can't wait either!!!!!

Have been waiting patiently for my car to make any sort of moves through production, and today it finally moved from "in production" to "in the body shop"! phew...I was beginning to think it would never move. Was listed as "in production" from 8/19-8/25...maybe not that long, perhaps normal. but boy it sure felt like it was never going to move.
How long does a car normally take once it gets moving? As in - moves from simply "in production" to actually starting to move through the line?

Well since it started moving today I can try to be optimistic about it making either the 9/1 or 9/2 shipping days.
Thanks minimartin! I better start counting down the days to things closer in the future like opening day football games and United playing Arsenal this weekend...break down my weeks faster. The wait is terrible! I know once it gets here it's going to feel like the time flew by. But right now my days are like molasses

@ Wilde Maus--Check out this schedule http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/portList.do
Maybe your Mini will get on the Toscana. That's headed for Port Hueneme. Keep your fingers crossed!

My MINI made it to the Port of Baltimore today & should be offloaded later today. My MA emailed me to say delivery should be early next week. Hopefully Irene will stay off-shore and not damage it before it arrives in VA.
Just in time for the long Labor Day weekend to get acquainted!

No Luck Finding Your VIN Number Aboard A Ship ?
After MINIUSA showed my new Clubman was "En Route" but still being unable to find its VIN number aboard either a WW or an ARC line, today my MA was able to find my car had been loaded aboard the K-Line BISHU HIGHWAY in Southampton on August 20th and was scheduled to arrive (with only ONE intervening stop) in Brunswick, GA on August 31st. This means my car will probably will get to my Austin, TX dealership right after the Labor Day weekend. Woopee !
This is at least two weeks sooner than any of us had thought remotely possible when ordering the car the end of July.
I've loved the '04 MCS with John Cooper Works and all packages that I've had since late 2003. But now I'm ready to trade up to a slightly larger Clubman similarly equipped but without the JCW additions. Test driving a 2011 Clubman S, it was more lively than my JCW-equpped '04 MCS so I felt I didn't need to split for the extra expense of JCW on my new car.
My '04 (See Gallery Pics) has given me absolutely trouble-free service for over 86,000 miles. Didn't even need to redo the original factory brakes and rotors until just this past January at 82,000 miles (the car has been on MANY long distance trips to both coasts, from San Diego to Canada on the West Coast trips . . . so didn't need to use the brakes and clutch too much).
It will be fun to revisit soon with family and friends on both coasts in my roomier 2012 Clubman S.

With WW and ARC ships, the VIN usually shows up the day the car is actually loaded on board.

Nice to meet you, Rally Cat. Mine's Laser Blue, as well--SO glad they offer Laser Blue for the 2012s. I've got the Black roof, how about you? nevermind--I found your description in another thread. Ours will look like sisters!
General question--How can I get one of those "Laser Blue Owners Club" badges for my signature?
