@minimidd77 I wish I could have communication with my Mini and see how she is doing right now. Probably cold sitting out there by the docks at night.
I can't wait either!!!!!

Got notification from my MA today that mine hit production early - the managed to slip it into one of their dealer slots - a full 2 weeks earlier than anticipated. Hopefully gets here in October

How long does a car normally take once it gets moving? As in - moves from simply "in production" to actually starting to move through the line?
Mine was scheduled for production for a long time but once it started it was 8 days exactly. As I recall it was only in the body shop one day, in the paint shop the next and then done!

Well since it started moving today I can try to be optimistic about it making either the 9/1 or 9/2 shipping days.

Thanks minimartin! I better start counting down the days to things closer in the future like opening day football games and United playing Arsenal this weekend...break down my weeks faster. The wait is terrible! I know once it gets here it's going to feel like the time flew by. But right now my days are like molasses

Congrats minimidd77, that's awesome. I am jealous. Called this morning and mine is still sitting on the docks looking for a ship.

Maybe your Mini will get on the Toscana. That's headed for Port Hueneme. Keep your fingers crossed!

My MINI made it to the Port of Baltimore today & should be offloaded later today. My MA emailed me to say delivery should be early next week. Hopefully Irene will stay off-shore and not damage it before it arrives in VA.

Just in time for the long Labor Day weekend to get acquainted!

Does anyone know how far in advanced they list shipping cargo? As in, if I search my VIN, could it come up now, or maybe a couple days before the boat leaves? Or do they not plan cargo until it's loaded on?

Mine didn't show up until about a day before it went out. It was waiting in port for 2-3 days without being listed as cargo.

snafu26 - I think they can unload something like a trillion cars an hour, so hopefully they'll unload yours before the storm.

Spanky, what ship did yours come in on? My Countryman is on the way to the docks or at the docks already. I'm still waiting for it to get on a ship. I assume it is on a WW ship, but maybe I'm wrong?

All this hype about Irene is making me nervous! It better not disrupt any activities on the vessels and the VDC. -.-

No Luck Finding Your VIN Number Aboard A Ship ?

With WW and ARC ships, the VIN usually shows up the day the car is actually loaded on board.

After MINIUSA showed my new Clubman was "En Route" but still being unable to find its VIN number aboard either a WW or an ARC line, today my MA was able to find my car had been loaded aboard the K-Line BISHU HIGHWAY in Southampton on August 20th and was scheduled to arrive (with only ONE intervening stop) in Brunswick, GA on August 31st. This means my car will probably will get to my Austin, TX dealership right after the Labor Day weekend. Woopee !

This is at least two weeks sooner than any of us had thought remotely possible when ordering the car the end of July.

I've loved the '04 MCS with John Cooper Works and all packages that I've had since late 2003. But now I'm ready to trade up to a slightly larger Clubman similarly equipped but without the JCW additions. Test driving a 2011 Clubman S, it was more lively than my JCW-equpped '04 MCS so I felt I didn't need to split for the extra expense of JCW on my new car.

My '04 (See Gallery Pics) has given me absolutely trouble-free service for over 86,000 miles. Didn't even need to redo the original factory brakes and rotors until just this past January at 82,000 miles (the car has been on MANY long distance trips to both coasts, from San Diego to Canada on the West Coast trips . . . so didn't need to use the brakes and clutch too much).

It will be fun to revisit soon with family and friends on both coasts in my roomier 2012 Clubman S.

Hi Joesantoyo, my mini is also on the Bishu. I hope Irene isn't causing them to get seasick.

Does anyone have more information on all the shipping lines that MINIs might travel on? Seems like some people are getting on ships that aren't listed on the WW or K-Line schedules I found through the tracking post links. Is there another place to look?

+1, Production completed on mine 8/22. Looks like a 8/29 ship date. Hopefully the hurricane will not delay it further.

Nice to meet you, Rally Cat. Mine's Laser Blue, as well--SO glad they offer Laser Blue for the 2012s. I've got the Black roof, how about you? nevermind--I found your description in another thread. Ours will look like sisters!

General question--How can I get one of those "Laser Blue Owners Club" badges for my signature?
