My wife's car left the VDC in California supposedly on Sunday. Just wondering how many stops along the way and how long it's going to take to get to Seattle? This is driving me more nuts than I thought it would and it's not even my car!!!

 

Once past Panama, you probably won't see the Fedora until it's in the Cali region. There is no coverage.

A call to ASKMINI this evening revealed my MINI is *done*, and has made the run to the port. WW has a couple of ships leaving early next week...I'll keep checking, with crossed fingers.

 

QBall, I was just writing out a reply saying that my car has been at the VDC since the 14th and I'm up in Seattle too. But I was interrupted by a phone call from NWMini saying my car just got there and I have to go in tomorrow to take a look at it for the dealer installed options. Which dealer did you order through?

 

jonrizzle, I just got a call from my MA and my car is in also. I ordered it from Seattle Mini in Lake City. So bloody excited I can't stand it!!

Wow, it looks like it takes at least two weeks at VDC, hopefully the process is shorter for the MINIs that ship to SoCal!!

 

My car got to the VDC on Friday the 24th and was on the truck by Sunday and dropped off today at my mini dealer. Everyone has worked like clockwork with this build. 8 weeks from ordering to drop off. I have heard some horror stories, so I am super stoked about the timeline. I was on the Platinum Ray.

 

You'll probably have your car within 3 days of it hitting the port, it just depends on what they do at the VDC with it. Mine took a little longer because they had to paint and install the aero kit on it so that would put it behind at least a week the MA informed me when I ordered it.

They must have been blazing a trail on the truck all the way to the NW. That's super fast! Oh well, I hope your paperwork stuff goes smoothly and you'll be outta the dealer asap.

My car has officially made it on a boat and should set sail today. Now I just have to wait 3 weeks for it to make it to Cali and then however long it takes to get to Portland. I'm glad there's a support group, the waiting is killing me.

Yes, getting on a boat...I'm watching like a hawk. There are 3 in the next week, beginning this Friday 3/2. Hopefully it'll get aboard one of those!

 

I know how you feel. I was bumped from the first boat that it was suppose to be on last week. Hopefully you make it on the first try.

I got to the dealer yesterday at 5:30 and there was 3 other people picking up their new babys. I didn't get out until 8:30 last night. But she is now home. Now it is finding out how everything works. Can't wait for the weekend to take her out on a long drive. Sprout good luck on friday with picking your up.

Mine is on the Tortugas ship. I guess I should expect to wait about 4 weeks, to get it to the dealer in the Bay Area.

 

It looks like we're shipmates. The 4 weeks probably seems reasonable. I'm anticipating between 4-5 weeks for mine to get to Portland. I've been tracking it since it left the port and keep the website up so I can see the progress. So far, we are still in the English channel. Patience if definitely not one of my virtues.
