My MA called me today with an update on the sea transport of my MINI...I told him I still appreciated the call even though I was all over this yesterday 3/7 as the TIRRANNA made ready to leave for Baltimore.

Mini Z is off the boat and at the VDC... I hate that I have no way to check on it until the dealer calls to tell me it's ready to pick up, which COULD be next weekend (I hope!) :(

 

I can't believe your still not in your CM! You ordered it on 12/29 and your still waiting! Omg you make me so nervous I hope I don't wait that long! Ordered mine on 2/3 and it's waiting to port on 3/7. So hopefully before Easter it's here.

We are still in the same boat. My MA called me yesterday to confirm clear bra and let me know the things I'll need to pick up mine. She couldn't give me a date yet.

I caught her off guard when I asked would this fall under the 'Priority One' SLA of 24/48 hours since it was purchased? She was shocked I knew the terms VDC and some of the lingo. Thanks NAM!

I am really hoping Sunday will be my lucky day.

 

Mine came in and is sitting on the dock as well..MA called this am to say "sometime at the end of next week"
I was sort of hoping for Sunday or Monday as well...

 

I'm 40 min from the VDC. I offered to pick it up for them. She didn't find it as funny as I did.

 

My car finished assembly this morning and is waiting to be sent to the docks for shipment yay! What are the chances it is able to get on the ship leaving the 14th?

when i see a mini and im driving my car or a work car i want to wave and yell "my mini's on his way here!!" but i dont because i would probably get weird looks... does this happen to anyone else?

 

Heh... sort of. I don't see many on the road, so when I do I probably endanger other drivers trying to get close. Then I think, "it'll only be a few weeks, calm down already."

There are several dealers out here, and I'm tempted to visit the other ones to sneak in more test drives. I haven't gone quite that far, though.

 

One for recent arrivals from the Fedora - my MA emailed to say that the car was released to the truckers yesterday (Friday) and should be at the dealership tomorrow (Sunday). Since they can't do a pre-delivery inspection until Monday I'll have to wait until Tuesday...

For those closer to the VDC it may just be a matter of whether or not the service department works weekends. . .

 

Mine has been en route since the 29th. My friends mini took 10 days to get here so it should be reaching the US any day now. I guess its a 4-5 day wait after that until it gets to the dealer according to my friend.

Those taking delivery in March should ask their dealer about the Mini You-a-facation deal. It's a $500 credit off options on certain models.

Got a call from my MA. They are working to have the clear-bra applied on Monday so I have an appointment on Tuesday afternoon to pick it up.

 

I called my MA this afternoon....still not released to the trucking company. She seems to be unwilling to check it hourly......Hoping for Monday or Tuesday.

Bought a copy of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, The Places You'll Go!" to cheer myself up. Highly recommended.....

I'm picking up in Portland so it's going to be much lOnger for me.
There is a new mini in our little coastal town....that makes seven. I shall be eight! There is one that is like Z but it's an S cabrio.

 

Oh, also my MA said they will put the driving lights on at the VDC and it takes 3 to 5 days. To install the lights or the total time it's there?
I can only get ahold of him by email maybe once a week. He said our finance guy will take this over from here, my husband got a message from him last week to which I called him back and left a message. Still haven't heard back from him either!!
So, I've had three total interactions with my MA...wonder what his commission is? He didn't sell us a car, he just took our order!! LoL

I checked my status online this morning and it said my car was En Route, just checked it and it says its on it's way to the dealer. Never saw it in the distribution center step..maybe it was a quick stop that happened between checks
