R50 Love

Last year I purchased a 2004 r50 coupe to see if I liked it after years of driving Saabs. The plan backfired! Not only do I love MINI but I love this little go kart I have! I see no reason to get a new one. I know all the changes, up grades etc but this car has so much personality. Reminds me of my old Triumphs!
Most car fun I've had in a long time!

Yep, I've got that feeling too. When it's needed something fixed or worked on, I worry like it was a child. Drove Fiats years ago and out of curiosity stopped and checked out the new 500, simply because it was here now. I felt absolutely silly for even stopping to look at it.

+1, I've had my R50 for a little over a year and I'm lovin' it. Test drove R53, R56 and R55 S, still holding onto my '06 Justa. Unfortunately, like all MINIs, it's a mod vortex, the list keeps growing

R 50, R 50, R 50. I love my 2002 and my wife loves her 2003. Cute, small and full of chrome. We think it's the true re-incarnation of the original 1959 MINI. Your "S"s, convertibles, Clubmans and Countrymans are nice, but your average R50 MINI enthusiast thinks their car is the one "true" MINI.

Same here. Drove the R53 before I bought my R50. The R53 was much quicker, but I didn't like the unnatural feel of it. The R50 felt more of a pure driving car.

I loved my R50! I agree it had more personality than my R56, although I love it in it's own way too.
