Does anybody know when the 2012 configurator for the hardtop will be up?

I am closing in on ordering a 2012 but I would prefer to use the configurator to build the car I want and then send the result to the four different dealers in my region. I've heard there is a slight prayer that I might get below MSRP if I check different dealers.

I'm not in a rush to order so I don't mind waiting a bit for the configurator to get up on line but I have also heard that dealers only have a certain number of allocations per year. If I wait until the Fall do I run the risk of not being able to order my Mini? I've already experienced with the 2011 cars that I cannot expect to find the Mini I want on the lot. And at these prices I might as well get it exactly as I want it. Even if I do end up paying MSRP.

I'm not sure if this is true elsewhere, but in Mini of Peabody, MA they said that you can't order 2011s anymore, and that 2012's come in regularly now.

Even though the configurator is not up, what I did, was configured a 2011 how I wanted a 2012, (pretty much everything is a carry over from 2011 save for a few cosmetic details), and then sent that off to the dealerships I wanted.

I ordered a 2012 MCS on 8/14 and started production on 8/17.

 

No more ordering of 2011 Hardtops, they're all in production. How specific is your configuration? Post it up!
