I just got my first Mini on 9/09/2011 and I am tickled to death to own it. But I am a babe in the woods when it comes to doing the maintenance and repairs on it. Not that there is much wrong with it, but at this point I don't even know how to change the oil on it. Can anyone give me an idea as to where to find a repair manual for a 2002 Mini Cooper hardtop? I would welcome any help that I can get.

Places llike WAY MOTOR WORKS, DETROIT TUNED, OUT MOTORING, MOSS MINI, and even most of the dealers have the Bently manual for the R50, R52, and R53 (first generation cars, 2002 - 2006 '08 for the cabrio).
Any AUTOZONE, ADVANCE AUTO PARTS, CHECKER AUTO PARTS, ORILEY AUTO PARTS, or PEP BOYS, will be able to order the CHILTONS MANUAL (CHILDRENS MANUAL)
The Bently is the best way to go but at double the cost if not more over the Chiltons. But for basic maintanance the Chiltons is adiquate.
