New Mini owner =)

Hi everybody, Im a new owner of a 2008 MCS in astro black. I love the car so far and am looking to upgrade my driving experience here pretty soon. If anyone has any advice, or new mini input, Id be glad to hear it. Also I am very much welcoming recommendations for the best starting upgrades since I am unfamiliar with the engine characteristics and money is tight so I want to be smart about my mods. Thanks in advance for any help given. I look forward to making friends and learning about my new mini =)

Ive been reading up on the intake battles here. Ive been a K&N guy usually, but everyone seems to like something different on here.

That is one thing I will guarantee on NAM.... lots of different opinions on aftermarket gear.

May I suggest that you drive your MINI as hard as you feel comfortable with and ENJOY it for a while. Only then will you know what type of mods you want to start with.

For me, I found the power of the MINI adequate for me and started with new light weight wheels and non-runflat tires as my first performance mod.

Good luck with your new MINI and Motor On.

Thanks for the input guys! After driving it for about 4 weeks now, I want a little more low end power and will definitely be getting an exhaust. (the problem is deciding) haha

Congratulations! Keep us up to date on what you decide to go with. I'm looking to tweak things a bit myself.
