2012 Mini CoupeS in production. 1st Mini
Ok I have what I've learned is Mini Fever. BAAD!!!! I have always liked the Mini, even before ever driving one. The first one I ever drove or even sat in was the new Coupe S. I was in love. I went home and configured about a dozen of them and finally went to the dealership and placed my order. It's my first Mini and actually my very first brand new car. I have been glued to the owners lounge and as of today it finally went into production November 3rd. I think the ask mini people will hate me over the next 6 weeks or so haha.
Anyway about the car:
2012 Mini Coupe S
Pepper White with black stripes
Manual transmission
Xenon
Leatherette
Mini Connected with Nav
Chrome line interior
Black conical 17" wheels
My only fear, the fever will only get worse before it gets better.
I'm hoping it will arrive before Christmas.

Congratulations on your order! If it's actually in production (unlike mine described below) Christmas shouldn't be a problem. The next ship leaves Southampton on 11/10. If you went into production today, you won't make that ship. The one after that leaves on 11/22 and gets to Port Hueneme on 12/12. I'm hoping to be on that one too. It will take a few days (as many as 7) to get from the port to your dealer, so you (we?) should have it for Christmas. Now if we can only find a tree big enough to put it under! ![Smilie](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Did you get an estimated completion date from Ask Mini? Mine was scheduled for production on 10/31, but the message I get from the automated system (and the live people at the 866#) is that "it is scheduled for production but there is no confirmed production date". I'm not sure what that means. I've ordered three minis in the last 5 weeks or so (long story, some of it is in my sig below except that leaves out the one the MA ordered wrong!) and on the other two when it was scheduled for production, I got an estimated completion date (about 7 days) immediately. It's bugging me that it didn't happen this time. "Scheduled but no confirmed production date" seems like the same thing as "on order" except that you have a VIN.

Chaswyck. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Christmas. Sounds like it'll be close. I love the spice orange color you ordered. It was the color I was teetering on. Kinda kicking myself for not doing it. But I think the white will look great! I forgot. I also put the HK stereo. Our port is only an hour and a half away from my dealership. Hopefully that helps with the Christmas date.
Alixcks:
Ask mini already in my favorites and production number memorized. It's a sickness. One that can only be cured by delivery haha.

I just received my Pepper White 2012 a few weeks ago. They told me 8 weeks but it showed up in 6, so I was very happy. As the weeks go by the fever gets worse and asprin or tylenol does not work. The HK sound system is a big upgrade over the base system but I had hoped it would have been even better but still worth getting.

Ordered the LB/S Coupe S on 10/22. I was on the awaiting production for about 2.5 weeks before I got a Vin # and then about a week until she was complete. She is currently on the Figaro with an arrival date of 12/4. The waiting is exciting and agonizing. My boss has a cooper hardtop 2006 and would keep showing me his keys and saying nice drive in the Mini today to rub it in...This is my first Mini and it so far has been a blast..I didn't want the mini folks at ask mini to get mad so I only called every 3 days and to the credit they were always patient and respectful..Thanks to them for that...enjoy.. The fun is just begining....

No, I got SUPER lucky and the ship was delayed by a day or so. My car arrived at the port on 11/10 and was loaded on the Torrens that night and it left the next day. If the ship had been on time I would have had to wait for the Mignon. The Torrens is scheduled to arrive at Port Hueneme on Friday!
