Finally Got it - My First

I have been riding motorcycles for 30 years and I've decided the rain and cold weather (ya we do get cold we stuff in California), really got the better of me and I wanted a car. The truck is a big gas guzzler and hard to park. So after hearing that Mini's are like driving Go-carts I took a test drive and was hooked.

TODAY I got my CM! Not sure when I'm gonna stop smiling!

It will be getting Union Jack sunroof, Mirror and Side burns. I am already thinking of white stripes.

Flamewinger,

Your story reads much like mine, riding for 25 years and I finally had had enough of the weather and drivers that don't see you. I went with a 2008 Chile Red Cooper S and I love it! Don't tell the wife though, I was in the motorcycle shop recently and started falling in love all over again with the "new" Gold Wings they had on the floor.. With a MINI in the garage there is always room for a GoldWing!

Welcome to the club! I rode sportbikes for awhile (4 years, I'm a little younger!) and decided there were too many riders getting killed by inattentive or drunk drivers. After walking away from a few lowsides and dodging plenty of bad drivers, it was time to cash in and walk away before my luck ran out. I pine for two wheels now and then, but never when I'm driving my Cooper.

Rode motorcycles for 40+ years. Three incidents involving friends/relatives, two deaths, one serious injury convinced me it was time to give it up. Bought my Mini and have not missed the motorcycles a bit.

Great looking Mini you have there and hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed mine.

I've had a couple of close calls where the other drivers, (PU & SUV) did not see my MINI.
Reminded me of riding my motorcycle.

I still have the bike. If you look closely (through the Mini) you can see part of it in the garage. It's red & yellow. I'll enjoy it once in a while to work and weekend rides, when the weather is really nice.
