At the mercy of the Sea

So after a long wait, my Mini S Coupe is finally on board the Mignon and on the open Seas. It reaches Port H by Dec 15th if all goes well. Im praying that I can take delivery by Dec 24 so I can drive him back home. I live in LA, so once the VDC releases him, he should be at the dealership the same day. Hopefully with a bow. haha (hint hint Chris if you're reading this haha)

Also can anyone tell me where to go to add my car info to the bottom of my posts. It's probably right in front of me, but I can't find it.

Johnwes12,

I know it seems like a long wait but a couple of years down the road you'll remember it as one of your more enjoyable experiences! Track the ship if you have time.

I would love to get a ride on one of those car carriers that go from England to Los Angeles and film the Mini's build, the assembly, the loading on the ship, the trip, and the final delivery.

That would be "adventure" for me! I wonder if the shippers would allow one to book passage...

It's like waiting for a child to be born. So anxious for it to be here but well worth the wait until it arrives. And I totally agree on the filming. I've dreamt about filming a Mini documentary from production to delivery. It would be pretty cool.

It's so nerve racking that it's not in range anymore. But also exciting. I'm going to try to not look at it for one whole week. It's gonna be tough. Been glued to Mini OL(which is crap btw), and the WW and sailwx.info site. Time to rest. But I'll be here.....uh.....a lot. Haha

Haha. I've heard that you can see pics and video of the canal. I might try if I can time it right. But probably try to sane myself down for now while I'm in the dark anyway.
