New Old Guy

Or should it be Old New Guy. I have a 2006 Cool Blue Convertible S since it was brand new but just decided to register here on NAM.

Haven't had any major issues. Although, the second time the motor mount started leaking I put one of those TSW engine mounts in. The first one was replaced under warranty.

I've had the thermostat replaced twice due to leaking.

I got rid of the run-flat tires.

I made my own Aux-in cable so I can use my iPod.

I installed a trailer hitch, the one that hides under the center plastic piece. I've towed two scooter a couple of times and I also have a tray that fits on it. It holds the cooler and camping stuff when we go camping.

Too cool.
Got to love those dang thermostats. I'm only on 1 at this time. Hopefully, that'll be it.

Welcome aboard frogman. I did the same as you. Stalked on the forum for a few years before I signed up. I've got an 05 S. I guess I've been on borrowed time with my mount. Had mine since new as well and mine just sprung a leak recently. I'll need to sort it out soon. What's your opinion on the TSW mount? I was going to replace mine with a stock one because I've heard the TSW gives much more harshness and vibrations.

It does give you some vibrations but I would say it's more like a buzzing. I can feel it through the gas pedal and steering wheel. I can live with it.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you think of anymore positives vs negatives or advantages vs disadvantages between the two?

The main advantage is, it won't leak.
