new mini owner
hello and greetings to all.
i just got my mini this weekend... 07 Cooper S... SADLY not Manual i didn't have the opportunity to get/find a stick and i needed a car that day because my lease was up the day after... but once i drove it i couldn't let go... plus i wanted a car i can work on and have fun in and ride some canyons, but the flappy-paddle and sport mode should be ok but that might hold me back from doing all the mods i wanted to.
and also here comes my 1st question... what engine do i have in this 07 S?? i tired looking up in wiki but no luck is it N14 or W11 or how could i check?
thanks.

Congrats on your new car, mate! The colour looks great and I love the stripes. Shame you didn't get the manual, but the flappy-paddles are pretty good and the auto that Mini uses is really great in itself.
As for the engine: 2007 was the first year of the "R56" Cooper S, previous years are referred to as "R53". The major difference being the new body style, the introduction of the turbo over the supercharger, and the new engine, manufactured by Triton, I believe.
Hope that clarified it a little bit for you. You have whatever the newer of those two engines are.
