Just bought a 07' Mini Cooper 3 weeks ago. I named it Turquoise Thunder.

I recently moved to L.A. for grad school at 25. I needed a car badly to get around the city. I was using the unreliable l.a. public transportation system for 6 months and finally had enough. I've been wanting a mini cooper since I was 17. Specifically wanted a silk green metallic MC, but ended up falling in love with a oxygen blue MC w/black racer stripes (automatic)on ebay. I took it for a test drive, got an inspection, seller was selling a couple minis, and was nice enough to end auction for me once he met me.
I got a good deal on the 07' mini. It only had 41,000 miles. The only thing is previous owner had only one key, no manual, and left bumper trim needs fixing(easy fix though). As far as manual, It would be nice to know how to use all those extra buttons such as the one with the phone icon, etc. I am buying the 07 manual package w/case off of ebay.
Also,I'm curious to know how much mini owners pay for a programmed back up key?

 

Welcome! I think the keys range from $300-500 but unsure.

 

The key should be around $300-400.

Just because the buttons are there doesn't mean you have BT, I made that mistake when I bought my '09 If the option isn't in the radio menus, you don't have it.
