Hi everyone!

I just purchsed my first MINI Cooper today! Picking her up tomorrow from a seller in Queen Creek. She's an '03 Indi Blue base model with 98k, white top & mirrors. Blue was on the top of my list, so when it turned up I jumped on it! It has leather interior, which a BOO in AZ, but I'm hoping to find some seat covers. I plan to put white vinyls on it, so I can call it Mark Wahlberg's car (from The Italian Job mmmm).
I sold my '05 Mazda3 hatchback privately in order to purchase the MINI. I'm gonna miss that car after 4 years of ownership, and having just paid it off, but I'm sooo happy to finally be getting a MINI (and a 5-speed). Took me forever to learn standard :P

My husband bought his first MINI last month from a friend. His is an '04 Chili Red base model. He recently put front and rear white vinyls on it too.

Once I get some time, I'll get some pictures of them together. We're one happy little MINI couple

Thanks for the welcome! I hate to be the newbie, even though I usually know my way around forums, and know to research first, but...I can't seem to find anything about somehow changing the digital speedometer display.

On the '03, I noticed it says the MPG instead of the speed. On my husband's, it says the speed instead of the MPG. Is there a way to change the display? He messed with his a bit ago and found the test you can do, and it flashed all sorts of things on that little display, but we can't figure out how to change it! We know about the little button on the signal switch that changes it from speed to temp though.

Is there a way on the first gen Mini's to change this display? I know I said that not having the digital speedometer on my '03 won't bother me, but let's be honest. We ALL want it

Welcome! Indi Blue is a wonderful color. I still love mine after all these years and probably won't replace my '04 until MINI brings back Indi Blue or a very similar color.
