KMP- I actually found the dimples. They are not on the back of the steering wheel, but rather on the steering column itself, just under the tach on each side. I believe they are to help remove the airbag or steering wheel. I actually fell in love with the horizon blue color on the r56, but just liked the styling of the r50 so much more. Eventually I came to love astro black, because it is a sort of bluish black with a metallic finish. I don't think I'll be giving this one up for a while!
