New 2012 MCS Owner in Wisconsin!
Well, I actually joined the forum back in March, but since I officially purchased a MINI last week, I figured I should post in here. His name is Darkness, A.K.A. Charlie Murphy. My wife named him, and I'm much happier with this name than what she chose for the MazdaSpeed3 I had a few years back. I'd post it on here, but it's not rated PG...
So far, I'm extremely happy with it. I decided to follow the proper break-in instructions, and although it doesn't specify to do so in manual, I'm keeping the "sport mode" off until the break-in period has passed. The suspense is killing me, but I think that it will make it that much better when I finally get to push it!
I added some photos to my gallery since I just got done washing it this morning. So here he is, Darkness:
You can't see it in the photo, but the passenger side taillight had some fogginess to it after I washed it; apparently from the inside. I plan on bringing it up to the dealership when I get the first oil change at 1,500 miles. Anyone else experience a similar issue?
Thanks again for all the help and information that this forum has provided!
Billy

Thanks, man! Now the anticipation is really getting high! Oh well, one month of being responsible will make the years of doing questionable things that much better...
