I love HP

Whats up guys,

Been thinking about trading my beater in on a mini cooperS

I don't see much aftermarket for them though, looks like only a select few can tune them. I believe I saw RMW in Florida?
I have a few questions... Any pros and cons of what I should look for?

How much boost can a stock block hold?

How much hp can a stock block hold, incase I spray it.

Anyone have any numbers? I've seen a few around 200/180tq is this pretty normal?
What kind of times can they put down in the 1/4?

Thanks guys

You are right there is not a tremendous amount of aftermarket/tuners thus price is high for the products and services that are available. Yes about 200hp is average for modded and tuned MINI. There are some 240hp to 300hp MINIs but you are talking $4500 to $10,000 plus for parts, labor and tuning. And the worst thing is that Spraying NOS attempts by vendors have been problematic for the MINI, constantly throwing codes and limp modes. If straight line Horse Power were my thing and quarter mile were my game I would rather go with an Sti, Evo, SRT-4.
